I'm really excited for my move to redding, but i'm also completely terrified. My room mate is this girl who's completely obsessed with Harry Potter, to the point that she listens to harry potter music and just went to a harry potter conference in chicago. I know i can't judge a person based on their myspace alone, but it seems that she's into harry potter and the hills. I don't know if God could have chosen a person more opposite for me to live with, and frankly I'm just scared that I won't like her, or get along with her.
I want to say that usually I can get along with anyone, but really I think I just choose to hang out with the people I like.. isn't that usual? I don't know. But i have all these thoughts going through my head about not making friends, or not being able to run well, or doing horrible in my classes and everything about my new life I have no idea what's going to happen.
I pray that God will give me the strength to get over myself and just be able to encourage and have fun with whoever is put in my life.
I almost feel like abram, because I'm just leaving everything behind. Except I know where my destination is, and I'm still terrified.
In other news, I just got back from Oregon, one of the most amazing weeks of my life. Seriously, it was so much fun with my family and the people up there. I'm thinking of moving up there for the summer next year and working a lot so I can begin to pay off some of my student loans. My cousin Chris said he'd hire me at his brewery, and his wife Zetty said she'd hire me at her coffee shop! It's amazing. And I'd get to learn latte art, which I think would be a lot of fun. :D
Seriously, everything about Oregon is just amazing and I hope i'm able to feel such joy when I talk about redding. But it's beautiful, the people are all friendly, and I feel so much closer to nature and God. People keep telling me to read Blue Like Jazz cause it's about Oregon or something, but I think i'd rather just go up there and experience it myself.

there is a lot more to Blue Like Jazz than "being about Oregon" lol
